For Leah, life has always included running starting at age 6 with the Santa Clarita youth program called The Warriors.
Her running has taken her all across the United States competing in Junior Olympics in Texas, Kentucky, Louisiana and North Carolina. She ran both track events as well as cross country.
Leah continued her passion at the College of the Canyons and California Lutheran University where she focused exclusively on hurdles and high jump.
After college her mother convinced her to sign up for her first marathon: Rock and Roll San Diego. That was in 2008 and she got the bug for distance running since then completing 13 full marathons and 30 half-marathons.
Her second marathon (Chicago) triggered her desire to help others and she signed on to be the Assistant Coach for S.O.A.R. (Students Off And Running) a non-profit group that mentors At Risk high school students to run the L.A. Marathon.
Leah joined our program as a boot camper in 2006; our very first camp!
She wanted to get herself in tip-top shape, shed body fat and get stronger as a runner. She entered our Biggest Winner Challenge (Weight/Fat/BMI) and WON losing 14% of her body fat. She was a dedicated BEAST on our food journal program. She lost no weight - her fat shredded and was replaced with muscle and you could see it in her performance in timed mile improvement.
In 2013 she became an Instructor for 805 Boot Camp officially.
The boot campers love her for her kindness yet insistence on pushing for the best possible performance, no matter what your level is.
As you can see in her career she brings plenty of experience to the game. She is a caring and hard working part of the 805 Boot Camp family!
