PLEASE NOTE: Distances are variable due to the fact that satellites are floating around in space pinging - rarely are two Garmin watches showing exactly the same information on two different runners.

ACTUAL DISTANCE OF ENTIRE COURSE FROM RD'S GARMIN IS 13.33

DIFFICULTY: HARD (2,500’ of elevation gain)

This is a out and back course with beautiful views, climbs and mix of single/double track and fire road trail running.

The course starts with a fire road gradual incline for 1.4 miles.

Course hits a “T” and goes left staying  as a fire road briefly then becoming a single / double track to Chivo Canyon where the ascent gets steeper and becomes a single track.

Running at the top of the ridge for about 1 mile you drop onto a fun rocky loose path to Marr Land where you go north to the 1st cattle crossing, make a U-Turn and head back to the finish line (the longest incline in the race is the return to the top of Hot Dog Hill peak).

From Chivo Canyon riverbed you will go right to a “Y” / Split in the trail (follow the white flour arrows on the ground).  Take the rocky path left into a tree-covered cooler but short-lived mecca up to the original T split.

Take a left at the T-Split and it’s all downhill from there to the Finish Line.
